The Tesla Nano 100W TC regulated mod is one of the most surprising products I’ve reviewed in a while. It is the smallest regulated mod able to soar to 100W of output power, even with its settings set in mechanical mode. This makes it an option for DIY advanced macro coils. As far as TC (temperature control) goes, this device has it, and anyone can easily learn to use it in only minutes. Most other TC regulated mods are more complicated and take multiple pages of reading and possibly hours to learn to operate properly. With the Tesla Nano 100W TC, I was able to figure out and use the TC settings in minutes.

It, of course, also has a normal mode. For those of us used to vaping via wattage selection, this mod is here for us, too. The Tesla Nano 100W TC is a very powerful yet small device, and it is also easy to use –a great choice for someone looking for a regulated mod. The LiPO (Lithium Polymer) battery is non-removable and is easily charged to maximum capacity with a USB cable in under 3 hours. The 510 connection allows for both TC and Kanthal based atomizers. This means it can operate RDAs as well as Subtanks.

The Tesla Nano 100W TC is available as a standalone device or as a complete Starter Kit. While the standalone is self-explanatory, the starter kit version includes the new Tesla Tornado subohm tank, and a 0.4-ohm and 0.2-ohm Ni200 coil heads.

Thoughts on the TESLA Nano 100W TC Box Mod

In using the Tesla Nano 100W TC, I was immediately impressed, as I was able to figure out the TC and vape in under 5 minutes, with a previously assembled RDA utilizing Titanium coils. After reading a few sentences from the manual’s instructions, I changed some settings and the device operated properly. Just 5 clicks to lock the mod, then hold down the top two buttons, and choose a temperature setting. It comes set to 450°F, though I have left mine at 500°F. I first tried it out at 250°F, as I am still new to TC vaping than some people and prefer DIY vaping from time to time. The mod was smart enough to climb to this temperature, shut off, cool, and continue to climb back to the temperature again and again, in a matter of a 7 second inhale. The heating, cooling, and reheating went nearly unnoticed, which impressed me. I then changed the settings to where I could vape for a solid 5 seconds and still refrain from melting out my TI coil build. Why use TC? For flavor, cloud production, battery life and to prevent dry burns.

Including the many amazing attributes of this totally unique and highly worthwhile device, there are only two drawbacks. They are only drawbacks by opinion, however. For one, I like to change the batteries out of a mod. This one is smaller and can go up to 100W without regulation, so who cares if you do not have to change the batteries out? Probably not too many. The other actual ‘gut-thorn’ some may dislike, is that the USB port is on the bottom of the mod. I prefer a USB port to be on the side of a device, so one can stand it up on a surface and let it charge. This being the only real drawback of the Tesla Nano 100W TC, it is still a wonderful choice for a stylish and durable regulated mod with a nice feel to its hold, especially with its ease of TC use and 100W capability.

To share a few more thoughts on why I would choose this mod over many other ones, I have to mention that I used it with a Mutation XS V4 Mini RDA with wonderful results. Two TI coils, 7 wraps a piece, the setup produced some amazing clouds while allowing for enhanced flavor. It is a wonderful thing to enjoy the flavor of an e-juice to its fullest extent; something besides a ‘sweet-spot’ is less than what it could be. With the Tesla Nano 100W TC, finding your sweet-spot, or best-preferred settings for your favorite vaping experience, is much easier to do than with various other devices.

Is it fun to exit TC and use the Tesla Nano 100W TC regulated mod in By Pass mode as a mechanical mod? As sure as gold can gleam. When one holds the firing button, while pressing the “-” button, you can lock and unlock the “+/-” buttons in order to increase the wattage setting to 100W, by instruction, and press the “+” button one more time. The OLED screen then reads “Mecha.” Upon seeing this, I built a macro Clapton coil for a Zephyr V2 Buddha 29mm RDA, in order to try out some higher wattage vaping. Was I impressed with the clouds and flavor? As sure as gold can gleam.

Tesla truly has roared back onto the vaping community’s radar with this device, and the new, more affordable, Tesla 80W TC Mod. Reaching way down into low resistance realm the Nano can fire at resistance levels as low as 0.1-ohm with regular Kanthal coils and a super low 0.05-ohms with Ni200 coils. The amperage output, something the community is beginning to notice, is a whopping 24.5A, with a maxium voltage output of 9V. In addition to the fast charging abilities the Tesla Nano 100W TC offers pass-through charging, and brass-plated silver electrodes for super conductivity.

A Few Photos of Mentioned Notions

Here are a few photos that I took with my suboptimal camera and background settings. I am including a couple of proper product shots so that you’ll be able to see just how nice this box mod is. My photos include the Tesla Nano 100W TC regulated mod, the Mutation XS Mini RDA, and the Zephyr V2 Buddha RDA with a single-build macro Clapton coil.

I decided to build a macro coil to operate the mod in ByPass mode as a mechanical mod. I used 18 gauge wire and wound 30 gauge wire around it. It took about five feet of 30 gauge wire to wound up a seven inch piece of 18 gauge wire. The coil came out fine, really drains that battery down fast, and also really produces a great deal of vapor and flavor. I used the coil on 40, 50, 60, and 70 watt levels, and it worked fine.

Explanation of LiPO Batteries

LiPO batteries are Lithium Polymer Batteries. They work the same way as the more common Lithium Ion IMR batteries used often for vaping. The main difference is the housing of the battery, as a LiPO battery is housed in a plastic structure commonly shaped like a rectangle and smoothed round on the edges. Their original design attempted using the plastic housing, or ‘polymer’ in its output of current. Most LiPO batteries nowadays, for example, there are many in cell phones, use the plastic housing as their housing and not so much as part of the batteries actual function. For a more detailed explanation of these notions, Wikipedia has a page on LiPO batteries. Strong and powerful, they are said to be safer than Lithium Ion batteries, especially when they are operated under the regulation of safety chips in atomizers.

It works with over 95% of the atomizers available on the planet –TC, DIY, and subohm tanks. Small and easy to operate, this device will surely make many people happy. So excited was I to play around with it, as I was astonished with its size, simplicity, and capabilities. I was ready to give it 5 of 5 stars but did not due to the USB port on the bottom of the device. Some other devices recharge the same way, none can operate up to 100 watts with this size, however. Being able to figure out the TC with such ease was an honest relief and source of considerable impression, for me. I have found understanding temperature control to be just a bit confusing, before this device was assigned to me for review.
